Weight Loss and body confidence
Helping people with their weight loss and body confidence is one of my all-time biggest passions. Having been 23 stone in the past, I personally know what It feels like to live in a body that doesn’t feel my own. I couldn’t tie my shoelaces and my energy was second to none.
All of us know that in order to lose weight and change our bodies, we need to change what we eat and how we move. In fact, I’m sure you could write a book on it. However if we’ve battled with weight loss our entire life and we “know what to do” this tells us it’s not a conscious issue that’s holding us back from making progress in this area.
I don’t know about you, but I’d certainly felt I’d tried every diet out there with little/no success. The truth of the matter is that eating and moving differently only represents 20% of the journey. It’s our thoughts and feelings surrounding those actions that dictate whether we’re successful in our physical transformation.
80% of our success is determined by our psychology but more importantly…The psychology of our subconscious mind.
The people that come to see me for weight loss do so because they’ve tried everything else. They’ve attended the slimming groups, they’ve counted calories, syns, points, lost the same 10lbs more than 10 times and realised that if they’re going to try again – they’re going to do it in a sustainable way.
Life is a marathon and not a sprint, therefore everything we do in our sessions is done to ensure that in 30 years’ time – you’ve still lost weight.
