Hypnotherapy can help with a multitude of conditions. The list below names just a few I can help with, however if you want to know if I can help with something not yet mentioned then don’t hesitate to get in contact.
A few words about Phobias
Imagine being able to approach situations with no fear. It’s not uncommon to use hypnotherapy or hypnosis to eliminate a fear that’s been holding them back. This could include using hypnosis for the fear of flying or the fear of driving however this could include any specific phobia like public speaking or animals. Generally, phobias are very specific reactions to a particular stimulus like severe anxiety but thankfully no matter how severe the reaction or how long you may have this for – something can be done about it.
Our approach uses the most modern therapeutic tools to eliminate phobias, which means we thankfully don’t need to “relive” any trauma in order to remove the phobia. In fact, most people find it a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Most phobias take 3 sessions to remove.
Here is what Richard said after he came to see me for flying.
“I have had four flights since our time together. All of them bumpy – including yesterday from Barcelona in the gales and tropical winds…
And I was fine. I just got myself thinking about your calm space and actually, – whilst I didn’t enjoy the flight as such – there was no panic and my heart rate got to about 100 but also dropped down to 60 during the flight.
So….. I hesitate to say success, but I think we have success:)!! Tokyo here we come!”
A few words about Hypnotherapy for Pain management/Fibromyalgia
Hypnotherapy has been shown to help with acute and chronic pain. Regularly people come to see for an entirely different reason and then leave pleasantly surprised that their pain has significantly reduced. Here is an incredible story about one of my customers Hannah.
Hannah had a cerebrovascular incident 7 years ago which required serious brain surgery. Since then she got severe headaches and migraines which often left her incapacitated and unable to leave her home and live life fully.
The only way to manage this was to take extremely painful injections every 3 months and wait for several days for the pain to reduce. The pain would fluctuate between an agonising 9 out of 10 on the pain scale, and the lowest she had ever experienced was a 3 out of 10.
Hannah was sceptical about using hypnosis as a pain management tool, But as you can imagine, at this point she was willing to try anything.
After nine minutes of hypnosis that pain went down to a 2 out of 10 for the first time in 7 years!
It didn’t take 3 days; it wasn’t painful, and it was more effective than medical treatment which at the time was costing the NHS thousands and thousands of pounds.
However, this is where it got interesting!
Other elements of her fibromyalgia began to dramatically reduce and disappear.
After catching up with her, she told me:
“I’m thrilled as its been such a relief to be able to think straight without being clouded by pain constantly.”
